I don't claim to be a TA expert, but when I look at qcom's stochastic and macd, it looks a few days to a week away from signaling. That should coincide with the pre-earnings run-up. Based in this, I thought we might see continued weakness this afternoon, especially ahead of a 3 day weekend. I added a Jan 01 200 call just before close on weakness.

About the market tanking next week, sure it might but I am more confident now that the Naz will continue to show strength or go sideways with bumps for the next month or two. The CPI was benign, and Greenie's speech was not overly harsh, no sign of a 50 point hike. ANd a 25 point hike is already built in. What I see is perhaps a continued rotation to stocks that are undervalued and have not run up as much, and once those are filled the money will flow back into the proven winners. Happens every few months, and it has been overdue. I can see that happening with some mutual funds I hold that invest in beaten down stocks with good potential. When the market starts doing what it has been doing, those funds have their day in the sun, then they languish for months at a time. They have been doing well lately.

Here is my TA URL, sorry I don't know how to squeeze it to screen size.

Limtex,

I just pulled up the 2yr yahoo chart for Q and I do not see the dip
you are seeing in it. Am I missing something here?

Are you talking about NAS comp index?

My take on this is some one with sufficient capital is holding Q until they have had enough. I think that they are making sure that Q does not put out TA buy signals that attracts short term traders. Once they are filled we will resume **normal** ascend

That was a very even-sided post, limtex, and I agree with you. I've seen a lot of weakness on QCOM over the past few weeks and chose to sell about a third of my calls into the opening rally today. This is a wonderful company, great long term story, just "resting" now.
