Absolutely not. WAP is designed to make more efficient use of limited data bandwidth. High bandwidths are not needed.

A Palm VII users report (posted on the COMS thread) indictated that
Palms webclipping (different technology - same end) gave very good performance at 9600bps.

dont lose sleep over WAP. Like CDMA at its inception there was alot of doubt about its viability. WAP is an open standard if China decides CDMA is what they want then HDR will be there in due time. The standard WAP is like HTML its simply an open interface(right word?) for systems to interact. It is usable with CDMA,TDMA etc. Engineer might be able to explain it better, ENG???
