Obviously - the media's (and to a large degree, the street's) perception of QCOM is ambiguous, but why would that matter one way or the other to the savvy investor?

Look at the relative lack of action on the S&P thread, compared to the weeping and gnashing of teeth on your old hangout.

Hi Voltaire,

At the... umm... other place, you predicted a pop (to $170+) in Q's price around the time it announces earnings, and thereafter the Houses would come out to push the price down by about 40%. Does this prediction apply to the market as a whole or only to Q? In other words, is February going to be the month that prices on the NASDAQ are going south in a big way? I keep getting this vision of candies and babies :) Might be good to hire a truck or two.

Would appreciate a confirmation either way.
