Cirruslvr,

They can put whatever they want in the dresden fab as far as i am concerned.

The key is to ramp it up modestly.

If ramp starts now with product shipping in April I will feel very good.

If they delay till 2H - it probably means something is WRONG.

No way would they delay it till Q3 and then have Q4 dependent on such an immediate ramp.

regards,

Kash

Dresden needs to be discussed during the CC, but I doubt AMD will specificaly say when in Q2 they will start to get revenue from it or how many processors they expect. AMD was sued for making claims it couldn't make. If they aren't 100% sure they won't guarantee anything. This is probably why AMD stuck to officially saying 1M Athlons totalin all of 1999. This may be why they didn't pre-announce again.

Cirruslver, Sanders has signaled since the Oct. CC that all estimates, production quotas, and predictions will be severely understated by AMD.

I predict on Wed. there will be major, major upside surprises on all fronts.
