Momentum not Reality
In some ways, it doesn't matter what these stocks cost now. Their relative valuation is the key. Once the time comes for a majority to cash out of the market that's all they are going to worry about, Did I do better than my neighbor?. If you find the relative values, you will do well.

David Dreman did a study indicating that most analysts are drastically wrong most of the time. By far the worst time of year to depend on the analysts is in January, Don, because at the beginning of the year they are full of bull and hype. As the year goes on, the analysts repeatedly lower their $$ estimates and have to keep eating crow.

They are just a bit less full of bull and hype as the year goes on; but they still lie. Their employers pay them to lie to get the underwriting revenue from the very co's they are "analyzing", and everyone knows this Don; don't you?

I actually hope the analysts stay away from RMBS!
