(Was there any particular reason for the fixed font?)

Let's try this, the people in Europe just might be leery of a process not approved by the US FDA, sound reasonable so far?

Not particularly. I mean, if the US FDA were the end-all the world over, why would countries bother having their own regulatory agencies? There are all kinds of medical substances and devices which have become very popular overseas without approval in the US. First one that comes to mind is the abortion pill RU-486.

The FDA will approve and probably temper the temporary stigma.

Y'all seem to be banking awfully heavily on the FDA overruling its own panel. Does that happen often? Why would a favorable (to SNRS) overruling be any more likely than an unfavorable one (rejection on the basis that a temporary device of this nature does not meet basic efficacy criteria)?

At any rate, it's a little late to quash the "temporary stigma" (to say nothing of the "melted eye" imagery). Even if the FDA removes the labelling you can be assured consumer advocates (such as the one the RBers lovingly referred to as "Zola Budd") will make sure the word is spread and the questions are asked.

You've made a few good calls, but on this one, you are wrong!

Thirteen words that have cost millions.
