Mike, thanks for picking my nits. As usual, I could have been more clear.

I wasn't suggesting that price and volume should be used as a criteria to determine whether a company is or is not a G or K. However, once you have a portfolio entirely made up of G+Ks, each of us makes decisions to weight our portfolio with Gs+Ks to achieve the maximize returns based upon our own risk/reward profile. IMO, the market sends strong signals to us about which stocks are likely to outperform others (even though they all may be Gs+Ks). These signals include advancing when the general market declines, recovering quickly following corrections, and making new highs on high volume. I was suggesting that these signals can be used by G+Kers as a tool for weighting their portfolios amongst stocks verified as Gs+Ks or to sell non-Gs+Ks in favor of Gs+Ks which exhibit these characteristics.
