Some people just want to feel needed. Think of the opportunities; first you start off driving the get-away car. Then you graduate to bank survelance. After one year, you get a gun (no bullets yet). After a few back-slapping, hi-fiving bank holdups, you get a gun with bullets. Just maybe you eventually get to shoot someone. Sure beats publishing newspapers. Yes, ole' Patty is a great role model for the young women of America.
