PB, re mobile computers, One such business is Intel itself. A growing number of its employees -- such as those who travel a good deal [and others
who's jobs do not tie them to their desks, PB]-- now use a laptop as their primary work computer and plug it into a docking
station at their desks.

I heard the same story at Etrade after their shareholders meeting. They buy the latest and greatest Dell mobiles (soon to get greater again, as you say) for their people.

The February 8th issue of PC Magazine that I received yesterday in the mail has an ad by Winbook where they are advertising a 650mhz PIII laptop with 64meg ram and a 12gig drive for $2999. Sounds like Speedstep to me...

John
