As far as GBLX stock going up on that news, believe it or not, I would suggest that some savvy investing groups were pleased that GBLX was NOT going to get involved in a lengthy resuscitation effort of dead capital in order to obtain traffic....

Perhaps you should re-read my post. The news I was referring to was in reference to GBLX's involvement with Ireland and had nothing to do with the wireless licenses.

Regarding contractual issues which my 1st sentence dealt with in that post --- only good business practice and I have no doubts whatsoever that GBLX lawyers are paid handsomely to put the proper caveats in place surrounding any commitment. I happen to have enormous respect for the GBLX management team.

However, here is a link to an item of interest followed by my comment;

nextwavetel.com

I am betting that Nextwave will win. The business perspective [I am first and foremost a businessman] in my view and the only important fact is that they were prepared to pay in advance (and immediately) 4.3 billion the amount owed in full and in advance of when they actually had to pay it in 2003. The FCC will lose. Nothing fuzzy here unless power politics is at play in which case all bets are off.
