Newmont's aggressive move with Barramundi. In reading the discussion it seems as though some of you might be confused as to what a warrant is.When shareholders exercise their warrants the money goes into the company treasury. When warrants expire unexercised, there is no benefit to the investor or the company.Every junior mining company is constantly looking for sources of financing, for current projects and to evaluate other opportunities. The mining sector in general is depressed so any additional funding should be welcomed.Re-pricing of warrants is very common to reflect the current market. Newmont has its own reasons for exercising well above the market but regular investors would rarely make such an aggressive move.Newmonts decisive action should be viewed as their commitment to BAM.Instead of continually griping, you should be happy you have the strength of a major behind you and sufficient capital to be moving forward into an aggressive Spring field and drilling program.Looks to be going higher very soon.
