I originally expected volume shipments to begin in Q2 2000. Either I misinterpreted what Sanders said, or AMD slipped and Sanders is pulling a fast one on us. Either way, it seems volumes from Dresden are coming later than I thought.

Tench, I pointed out to Kash that the SEC filing in 11/99 says shipments would commence "no earlier than Q2, 2000", meaning "maybe Q2 but who knows" so I don't think Sanders was bullsh*ting. I think they gave themselves lots of latitude...understandably. But I do think that when they said that they may start shipping in Q2, they never intended for anyone to interpret that as volume shipping. I would assume like everything else that you would have to ramp up to full volume over a period of couple of months.

Don't you agree?
