I believe you are talking about Pocket Communications who bid as DCR (Daniel C. Rikers group). They turned all except a few of their licenses back to the FCC. The licenses were reauctioned last spring using essentially the same rules that applied in the initial auctions. The majority of the licenses were awarded to OMPT and VSTR (who will complete merger in February) entities in competitive bidding. This essentially completes a national footprint for GSM.

Eng - T will have to decide one day but when?

I mean how long can they realistically cling to an outdated and inefficient system that isn't going to provide a great marketing product whilst others will be able to?

I realise that we don't know the answer to this question and its probably not a simple queation anyway but I just wanted to see what the thread thought.
