<<I have an Ameritech CDMA phone and recently received notice that all Ameritech customers in my area are to switch to new TDMA phones.>>

I have been waiting to see how SBC handles this. Thanks for the update. When SBC purchased Ameritech, they acquired a CDMA digital network, which is not compatible with their TDMA network. They sold some of the properties to GTE(soon to be part of BAM) where there was overlap. Believe me, this switch has nothing to with CDMA and everything to do with the old fossils running SBC.
