Does it NOT seem odd that rambus memory (which is already "packetized") wouldn't have patents for the 'packetized' architecture? Wouldn't DDR SDRAM, and anything else, be infringing on those patents? Does anyone have an opinion I was particularly amused and gladdened to read in that article about "the industry's packet-switching systems", referring to workstation, networking and telecommunications segments. Sounds to me that RDRAM is peculiarly situated to take advantage of the proffered scenario. Just my naive opinion.
