We are finally seeing an Internut differentiation - business models that can lead to profits in a few years and those that are hopelessly doomed. I spent some time looking at TSCM financials just before they announced the change in their business model. Their gross margin never improved despite an increase in subscribers. I wasn't surprised at all they had to re-work their strategy or they would never have a chance at breaking even. But they are also sitting on a huge pile of cash. A short right now could take a long time to reach single digits. The pure zero-margin E-tailers like VUSA are ripe ground for shorting.
