Dear Robert: Look, I am not trying to defend INTC, they dont need my 2 cents worth, I am just saying I would not short it. Personally, knowing INTC as I have over the years I am not in the least suspicious that they did anything to boost the numbers just for the sake of boosting. I also said, it wasnt the last qtr that impressed ME. It was looking forward to their incredible gross margin (and I have never known them to overstate the forecast) and their rapid growth in wireless that is impressing me. As to hedge fund, whats wrong with that? I consider it a strenght that INTC has a very major investment in a broad array of promising technology at the WHOLESALE level which ultimately will be spun out at the RETAIL level. Lot of hidden profits there I would guess. JDN
