MM, The ERICY deal was announced on March 25th, QCOM ( pre-pre split ) was $98.5625 and ran up to $177 ( 79.5% increase to high of day ) on April 13; then declined by 30.5% on April 20 ( earnings day ) to $123 ( low of day ). The next day , April 21 , after the earnings were released , QCOM increased by 61% from the previous day low of $123 to an interday high of $198. It was a $54.4375 day delta - close to close ( 38.7% ), but and even higher $75 delta from the previous interday low to the next day after earnings interday high to give a 61% increase.

QCOM is one volatile stock and is really driven by earnings.
