MM, I think it has to do with absolutely deluded chip companies getting huge press last week due to their love-in. I honestly don't think most of the chippies are lying about their forecasts of the market. There is at least one major exception, but that is for moo to figure out <g>, but, then, again, they have always been over confident in the past. They forecast any uptick out to eternity, which is why Texas Instruments, one of the better of the bunch, always had industry forecasts that didn't come true. And the industry associations try to out positive think the cos.

So, when these guys do interviews, the media can tell they really believe what they are saying. Just like Dallas Cowboys' owner Jerry Johnson was sure their regular season problems were behind them and the true, great team would prevail in the playoffs. He sincerely meant it. It just didn't happen. <g>
