I can't speak for all of them, of course, but I think you are a very bad man for ridiculing people and mocking god. An atheist is b his very nature a brave and courageous person. He doesn't quiver in fear of god or sharks. An atheist faces the universe with only his belief in himself or herself, and in my experience it is rare indeed for an atheist to renounce his disbelief at the very end. In fact, I've never known an atheist to convert on his deathbed or the battlefield, while I've seen so-called religious people whine and cry in fear merely because they were about to die. Remember, even Jesus on the cross believed that his god had forsaken him.
