I can guess but that's about all. It's not my field. In the past, a process generation for Intel has meant about a 75-100% improvement over the life of the process. I think Intel will eventually get CuMine to 1.2GHz on their .18u process. Athlon may get there as well.

On a separate note, does anyone know the terms of AMD's Dresden loans? AM I correct in assuming that AMD has to start paying back those loans as soon as they start shipping revenue material from Dresden? If so, does anyone think this might be related to the delays?
