. . . . . . . . My plans over next 3-4 weeks or so. . . . . . . . Carpe, On your random thoughts. . . 1 through 13 were so good. . .no need for 14. And believe me, I need the rest. To all: This weekend, rather than tracking down the skinny on stock plays. . .I am working full time on the website. . . hopefully each night over the next few weeks as well. . . .then next week, I will be out-of-town relaxing a bit. So asking me about this stock or that may end up with an unanswered post. . . . which I never do purposefully. . . but if I were to answer all my email and posts in a timely manner, I would too often have no time to trade or for anything else. But our leaders are capable of giving smart insight. Feel free to ask them or PM them. . . they are equally approachable. Carepedeum2000 is doing a terrific job of reading the markets and picking out plays to best benefit from pending moves. And American Spirit has the undervalued play business sewn up shut. [Kevin and Kaliico are busy with their real world jobs at present.] Throw in a few picks from our esteemed group of regular posters. . . .and the thread is basically running itself. And that pleases me like you cannot imagine. Smart, creative thinking which benefits the whole is pouring from the tap tap tapping of the keyboards of our leaders AND our regular posters. And nobody is trying to influence us to follow them in one way or another. . .which is a big relif for me. . .as confronting problem posters wears me out. [which I solved in the upcoming site] So rather than looking to me for plays these next few weeks, I will be looking to all of you!! I look to play Spirits gems, I really liked Carpe's IBM call. . . and agree on RockNJ's brilliant IAAC find. . . . may grab a few more of William's Rat Dogs. Nobody talking about CORL, so I guess that one is mine. . . I spent several hours in software stores yesterday looking for a few particular applications. . .and browsing . . .and was VERY impressed with Corel's product line. I watched as young computer enthusiasts. . . . . . .oh good grief. . . .I watched as geeks bought computer parts for building their own systems. . . and carefully read every word of the Red Hat Linux OS box. . . then read every word of the Corel Linux OS box, which is 10 bucks cheaper . . .and in each case, they chose Corel. I saw 3 Corel Linux OS ring up compared with ZERO Red Hat. That is consistent with the CORL CEO's claim that they are dramatically outselling Red Hat at the consumer level. Though RHAT probably makes up for it with business sales. Speaking of shopping. . .I was pushing the cart through Costco yesterday . . . or rather it was dragging me. . . when I stopped and looked up at a marvel and was petrified for LITERALLY 1 hour [I shopped alone]. . . . A Fujitsu liquid plasma display monitor with a little JBL surround sound package showing the Eagles live [with Joe Walsh]. . . .uh, the band, not the football team. For one thing, I was impressed by the clean performance of the band, which NEVER sounded better. . . their silky harmonies executed live to perfection. . .[the only part of the performance that was probably overdubbed for texture later]. . . .and taking turns singing lead, until it seemed each member had a turn. . . Cleveland's Walsh adding his raunchy edge to their high gloss. . . The performance was really worth watching. . . but the combination of the hi fi sound with subwoofer [5.1] and that very clear liquid plasma display was one of those few experiences you have in life that you never forget. If you have not experienced such a thing yet, you all owe it to yourself. DVD is way cool, surround sound is too. . .and a liquid plasma display, whether it is to replace your PC monitor or your TV monitor is a welcome relief to your eyes. . .and a whole lot more fun than insurance. At $6,000 bucks for the Liquid Plasma monitor [Sony's must be even more?], it would have seemed worth it during another time in my life. . . .but in the life I have chosen, that amount goes a long way towards buying wheels for the oldest girl that has declared her independence as an adult 2 years earlier than the law provides. LOL! I'm not yet ready to grant her the version of freedom she demands. No, that trust she must earn slowly. But this past week she did impress us all by enrolling in 2 college level mathematics courses, which also count toward high school requirements. . . she is only a junior in high school. . .yet by the time she graduates high school, she will already be a sophomore in college. I remember being bored to tears in high school. Way to go! She wants to be a CFO. Must have heard me say "follow the money." <G> Incidently, the Costco here has its own coffee roaster!! So they roast 100% Arabica beans from the finest coffee growing regions and sell you the fresh roasted beans. 2 full pounds for about $6.89. . .actually cheaper than the cheapest 13 oz cans in grocery stores. And yes, they have 100% Arabica 100% Columbian fresh roasted decafeinated beans, too. . . .BETTER than Starbucks. Is America great or what? Anyway. . . where were we? To those that do not get their questions answered in a timely fashion. . . or at all. . . over the next few weeks. . . please understand. . . .we are growing to serve you better. <g> Our leaders are worthy of the same respect and attention I have enjoyed here. . . they have earned their position through the same fire. . . putting their reputations on the line with each play or prediction. . . I will still be around. . .just re-focusing attention on Insighters.com [if you haven't already emailed me, do so now to be notified of our grand opening celebration by writing me at Rande@writeme.com. . . don't miss it]. . . I may tell of a play now and then. . .or may give a market analysis or two. . . .but just don't rely on it for the next few weeks. Best wishes to all.. . . Rande Is
