Pravin - Re: "Now imagine the logistical nightmare Intel will have taking their fabs to 0.13u copper, and compare that to what AMD will have to do to take fab 30 to 0.13u copper."

Intel has transitioned all their fabs - or built new ones - all the way from 0.8 micron to 0.6 micron/BiCMOS to 0.35 micron BiCMOS to 0.35 micron CMOS to 0.25 micron CMOS - and is moving along the 0.18 micron transition.

You should consider Intel a SEASONED VETERAN at this WITHOUT PEER anywhere on Planet Earth.

Re: " I like how AMD is positioned. In fact, in going to 0.13u copper, AMD is almost ideally positioned "

Only one problem - Dresdog hasn't even got to 0.18 microns yet - and 0.18 microns is ITS FIRST process !!

You are assuming Dresdog will one day walk when they haven't even begun to CRAWL.
