The 2760 is more rugged. It has actually been tested by throwing it against the wall. If you drop the Samsung, it has a design defect where the top of the clamshell fits onto the rest of the body and breaks. Look at it closely; you will see two pieced of plastic at the place of joinder.

The only drawback I see to the ThinPhone is that it has no vibrator. If you like carrying the phone on your waste, you are better off to order from the Qualcomm website the leather pouch for the ThinPhone; that way you can pull the phone out and handle it without leather on it. Or, if you prefer, Qualcomm and the carriers sell leather gloves, which may give a little more protection if you drop it since the glove stays on when you use the phone.
