I noticed the Abit Ultra dma/66 card in the tigerdirect.com catalog I received the other day....wasn't sure this was exactly for that purpose. I'll need to look into it more. I was aware AGP slots transfer data at the 66 rate but thought the pci slot rate was only 33? It sounds like I'll probably end up living w/ my udma/33 board until it's time to upgrade. Since the card was $53 it would be best to just buy a new board for $135...even though some are as cheap as $80

I was told at Comdex to wait until after the new year to buy the 133chipset also....but am leaning toward the Athlon now.

Or the arrival of motherboards based on the rumored Intel i815 chipset with native SDRAM support....

Here is a link to rumors about Intel's 815 chip set.
techweb.com

A couple surprises are support for a 360 to 480 megabit per second USB and a 100 megabyte ATA-100 hard drive interface.
