tc, Yes, gold or copper colored box. I will give them a second look and really find out for sure. I was a Titleist guy for a lot of years, so I expect them to keep up with superior products. You are right about grooves on some of the new clubs. I had a chance to borrow a set of Silver Scot oversized this summer, they had only been used a couple of times. I could not believe the damage they imparted on hard balls. I had a couple of dozen Top Flight titaniums from an outing and those clubs were nicking the hard ball. I was amazed. I have a huge problem with hitting down too hard. It has its advantages in that you can stop a lot of balls, and for me knowing that I can stop it fast makes club selection a bit easier. I dig some big divots too, my instructor calls me beaver pelt sometimes. It goes without saying that I pretty much never top a ball. Tiger had two major weaknesses when he first joined the tour. One was control of the short game and the other was the mental game. I think you are right that Butch has "fixed" both of these. Tiger was still tying to make the impossible shots last year (ie. the tree/rock thing), but I think now he is starting to think a lot more like Jack did and that means making them come to you on Sunday. I wish you could have seen the last three holes. Of course it did not have the pressure of a major, but what a display. I was watching it with a buddy and after Woods hit his shot on 18 we both said it was over for Ernie. We were wrong and the next couple of holes, which you probably saw on highlights, were just fine golf. I would love to have the confidence to draw an approach shot like that with all that doom off the left side. I would have layed up without question. It will be fun to see if Tiger can get 20+ majors. I would not bet against it, provided there are no injuries. You have made me want to play golf now. Its dark outside. Where is that flashlight? <g> Thurston
