ciVic.. I drove through Calgary on the way to Florida from Alaska.. It was cool to see the Olympic site.. And Jasper/Banff was great. You guys must really need a lot of Hay.. Because I counted about 120 miles of hay fields. I bet It gets downright frigid when the wind blows there.. We came through in early October (rush hour too.. yuck)and it was already below freezing and blowing. Once we got out of the mountains there wasn't a tree to be found. No relief from the wind. Otherwise, Calgary is huge. It really surprised me.

I really enjoyed driving through Canada.. Hope to drive through again someday.

We love Calgary and the stampede is out of this world - it truly is the greatest outdoor show. Just when I mentioned we have had no measurable snow in 305 days - voila we have snow today!

Gone skiing!
