I could see a Viacom or another large entertainment Co. taking a large stake in @Home. However I don't see it as necessary for any content provider to partner with @home through a stock transaction. A simple contract will due,there is far to much content out there to limit parties by partnering with a select few.

Right on! I see it the same way. This should be obvious IMO.
The ATHM rumor mongers and the rumor believers are showing their stupidity (again) to think "T" was even considering a buy out of ATHM.

In addition, that reason is one of several reasons a sellout to "T" would be bad for ATHM.
