Thanks Reid, I understand. I was hoping to $horten up the learning curve by virtue of your experience. This year I want to concentrate a little more on how I manage my exit from trades and protect profits.

I bought some ISLD in the low 90's and added again Thursday in the high 70's. My thinking was that the stock may bounce above 70. I'm sure there are a lot of buy orders in the low 70's. I'm willing to wait a little and watch it fill with a stop in the high 60's. I think it will attract a lot of Mo-Mos once it fills and I'd be left chasing. Once earnings come out and the company can be compared fundamentally against the likes of EXDS and AKAM et al, high 70's will look cheap. IMHO

I'm playing some trades on CNXT/RFMD/BRCM this week on the earnings announcements in the coming weeks. CIEN ORTL and, DIGL will attract some attention as well. All is just my opinion.

THREAD ALERT!!! Doug will be out of town the last week of January and he's bringing his golf clubs! As Vendit will attest, that is not a good sign for the market. LOL!

Summary Of Dropped Calls
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

QCOM $140.44 (-9.56) What can we say, QCOM is choosing it's path and its not the direction we want. Even with the Nasdaq's record breaking highs and good volume for QCOM, it closed down on Friday. QCOM is no longer following the Nasdaq. It's that new direction that has caused us to drop QCOM. It is still holding support at $140 and that is a good indicator, but we just don't see any life in QCOM. Their earnings are due the 25th (that is about 7 trading days)and if they were going to make a run based on those earnings, we would see some enthusiasm in traders. Besides, QCOM has never been a company based on the present, they are all about the future so earnings based on present numbers may not do much for them.

.......what do ya think?
