Hello all, and congrats to all INTC and AMD longs.

One possible wrench in the works w.r.t. AMD's price movement this thursday and friday for all of us January call holders is what effect, if any, will Transmeta's announcements have? They are announcing details about Crusoe. Since Linus Torvalds is on board with Transmeta it's probably going to have some pretty heavy press coverage. If AMD does have blowout earnings I hope Transmeta doesn't steal their limelight.

Kash - RE: "There are too many intangibles on the earnings side to accurately predict earnings."

I found another thing that will effect earnings.

While looking through AMD's latest 10K to search for info about Dresden Elmer was talking about (I didn't find what he was talking about) I saw that AMD had agreed to continue to make Vantis stuff for Lattice (who bought Vantis from AMD) until 2003. THis is what the "Other" in AMD's earnings has been the past two quarters. I don't think anyone has factored this into their estimates. This was 18M in Q3, but there are no indications for what it could be in Q4.
