Rman,

Who would have thought we would have stayed with this for so long. Only two stocks from the original portfolio still with us: INCY and GZTC. We had some dogs but some real winners as well. I think we have learned a hell of a lot since then and have made some lasting friendships. In additon the thread has become a great place to discuss the sector and companies. I hope the next 2 1/2 years are as good as the last.

Just for fun looked at the - if we held the $100K original portfolio scenario - and here's what I got: equity of $242,274.38, (splits adjusted for) not including whatever we got for GENZL & GSII - what was the outcome on those anybody know?

Rick was right today, we had some dogs back then!!! But, only two actually lost ground, CYTO -19%, and CMTR -100%, not sure about GENZL and GSII. Had some great winners in the Genomics:
AFFX +594%
HGSI +451%
INCY +407%

also BGEN +378%

Anyway, just some fun with the past.

I think we've gotten a bit better at this based on our outcome.

Working on some new picks......

Rman

Nice to hear from you again Commander of the Faithful, RocketMeister. Thank you for electing me to the VDXXX Board of Directors. I look forward to all the beer and pizza parties...

VDXXX will go on as long as the Founders keep it going.....

The CytoLowRidinChebbieCruzer, C1.

BTW, Chevy is in the shop in the beginning stages of restoral. Real sad looking car when it is stripped down and being refinished. I'm hoping 2-3 months and I'll have it back.
