I'm sorry about all of this. This was really the best thread on SI and the one I always went to first and if I didn't have much time, the only one I would read.

I followed along with your picks and have tracked all your market calls.

I am sure you understand the nature of the QCOM garbage. The people there think they've found the new Dell - you know - the perpetual cash cow - I don't have to think for myself or watch anything - just throw my 5,000 at it on January 1 and pick up my 50,000 on January 1 - and they get downright ornery if you question that. They may well be right but I would think if they're so supremely confident, why would they become so defensive and hostile. Not too hard to figure out.

Anyway, wherever you choose to hang your cyber hat <g>, I'll be around if you can let us know without starting another SI brouhaha.

Good luck.

Just to set the record straight...

My header and guidelines to this thread were removed over a month ago. This is not my thread and never was. I stated that often. It belonged to the contributors and I gave praise to the contributors often...

However, I did start the MDA thread and set up the guidelines. I also hosted it for the first year. In the process, I received many PMs/Emails from folks complaining about other posters, the tone/slant of the thread and stating reasons why they were no longer reading and or contributing to the MDA thread. And I received many private communications attacking how I hosted the thread as well. Any one who has not hosted/started one of the top threads on SI has no idea how much work is involved.

I did my best to keep the thread on topic and to encourage variety in the points of view and defend the MDA thread and its contributors from public attacks. I spent time via PM and Email encouraging those who felt unwelcome or disgruntled to continue to post their points of view on the MDA thread. I always encouraged folks to stay on topic, remain cordial/respectful and to follow the guidelines.

I know I was wrong at times and made mistakes, but I always tried my best!

I created a supplemental web site and invited SI Bob to review it in advance. It passed muster I guess, because it did not have a competing message board and the intent was for it to be a supplement to the SI thread. I also did my best to include regulars in the site, quite a lot of extra work for me.

I spent a lot of time hosting the MDA thread, creating and maintaining the original supplemental web site. In hind site, it seems it was little appreciated.

My choice to stop hosting this thread continues to be reinforced by the attacks. I now invest the time I use to spend with MDA in trading and investing, it has paid off...

Regards,
LG
