Thanks. i was also told that agilent's primary LED product is sapphire based red. Didn't we establish that sapphire is more power-hungry than SiC? So maybe the brightness/power ratio is still in cree's favor, even if Agilent is a direct competitor.

Did I miss something? I thought Agilent was the spin out from HP?

I have no idea where they get their SiC, but a good friend of mine used to work there a long time ago (7yrs). He may still be able to find out.

Unclewest maybe you can ask investor relations, they may be able to tell you.
