Tim,

My son (age 19) - should be going to school in Arizona - but I don't think he is :( offered to try to set up a site for us a couple of weeks ago.

I told him not to worry about it, because we were going to a different place, and if it didn't work out - I'd let him know.

As for the $60 - your offer is just one reason why I support you. There are a lot of people just trying to make some extra $$$ doing this, and when pricks like some of these people do what they do, they screw it up for everybody.

I can afford the $60 - so don't worry about me.

Anyway that I can help - let me know.

Thanks for all that you've done for me. You've helped make me become a more patient investor over the past year. You've given me some great picks too.

I sent a pm to Marty, but if you can't let me in, good luck to you. I know it would be hard to choose 50 people (but since I mainly lurk, I wouldn't be too much bother.

Best regards,

johnas

GTW cut! From the looks of their day I guess no one cares.

Friday January 21, 1:16 pm Eastern Time

RESEARCH ALERT - Gateway cut to
outperform

CHICAGO, Jan 21 (Reuters) - ABN AMRO analyst Jonathan Ross
on Friday cut his rating of direct computer seller Gateway Inc. (NYSE:GTW - news) to
outperform from buy following a conference call with the company's management.

--''In the 4Q99 conference call, we discerned little (positive or negative) news--incremental
to the preannouncement call--that is likely to move the stock either North or South in the
short-term,'' Ross wrote in a research note.

--ABN AMRO said it thinks San Diego, Calif.-based Gateway's business is still on track,
but more visibility into Gateway's progress in obtaining business customers is needed.

--The analyst said he was raising his fourth quarter 2000 earnings per share estimate to 60
cents from 55 cents and raising the full-year 2000 estimate to $1.84 from $1.79 to account
for Gateway's partnership with America Online (NYSE:AOL - news).

--Shares of Gateway were up 2-5/8 at 63-1/2 in late morning trade on the New York Stock
Exchange.
