If people don't answer you, time and time again after you post to them, you are probably on ignore. There really isn't a way to ask- obviously. I suppose you could have someone you think is NOT on ignore ask the person who you think is ignoring you. The nice thing about ignore is that you see only the name of the person- you don't have to read anything they've written, and the ignore feature automatically clicks over the ignored posts. Perhaps there are no people who repel you on SI. I don't like to read people who are a zero, or worse a negative, to my happiness. So it works for me- but you might not like it. It certainly isn't for everyone.
