John, I subscribed to the Gilder Technology report some time ago, but dropped it for several reasons. Not that some good stocks weren't mentioned such as QCOM, JDSU, ORTL, NT and others.

My problem was the format of the letter stunk, the print was so small as to be nearly unreadable (even with 325 magnifying reader glasses), and the organization of the letter was poor. I like Gilder's foresight, but he needs some writing lessons big time.

On an earlier thread where he was a frequent contributor, I ask him if JDSU was then priced too high, having just broken $100. No reply came, but the stock continued its awesome run. If a paying subscriber cannot ask a $295 question and be granted the courtesy of a reply....well, cancel my subscription. Besides, these things show up lots of places, and I get too much data to absorb already.

Gilder is sort of a smart ass, as you can see from his presentations in Forbes ASAP, but he does have some talent in discerning the trend of things, so give the man his due. Some here seem to hold him in awe. Just remember, nobody knows what you think they know. It is your own DD that gets the best results in investing.
