You have a very good point, and on principle I cannot disagree.

As I stated, I am very neutral on issues regarding gun control, I could go either way.

I know people who either have, or can obtain in short order, more firepower than would ever be required to kill any four legged beast.

One of my best friend's father has over 30 firearms. If there is ever an invasion that is where I am going first.

Some of these people worry me, others don't.

A ex co-worker of mine (last company I was with) was a "bell-tower" type. I would not want him to have an automatic weapon, or really any weapon for that matter. He has his rights, and I respect that, at the same time I want to be as far away from him as possible.

People used to tease me for being so nice to him. I told them that if he ever came to the office on a mission and only had 30 rounds for 31 people that I would be the one to walk away. That usually shut them up.

Interesting thread, are you a kook by this definition?
