Well, when I invest, I invest in both companies like Microsoft which had proved record and its products dominated the market and will in the years to come. I also invested in small ( you may call them start ups) companies, like TMMI, which had super technology which the market need and had the potential to be the super star of tomorrow, I call it VC investment. The current problem for the internet is bandwidth, that means it will take long time to transfer big chunk of data from point A to point B. To resolve this problem, we either increase the speed of the internet ( the optical ) or compressed the data , or both. The TMM's compression algorithm is different than the traditional MPEG III and the compression ratio is much and much better. The current industrial standard for human eye to fell the motion picture is 30 FPS (frames per second), i.e for human to feel the normal video pictures, 30 frames of still pictures of data per second have to be transfered from point A to point B through the internet; However, for Motion pictures, the difference between each frame is small, so, once you have transfered the first frame, you only need to transfer the difference between the first and second frame to make the second frame, and the difference is very small between the first and the second frame, besides the difference between can also be further compressed with the traditional MPEG III method, and this will make the data streams even smaller, and as a result this technology , the data needed to be transfered for the whole motion pictures or video will be much and much smaller comparing to the traditional methos. This will make all the activities on the internet become possible , i. Video on demand, real time down load the whole movies from internet, real time video conference, remote education , remote medical diagnosis, anything need real time video. This technology will also help a lot for Intel to promote its high end CPUs, because it needs a lot of computer power. I have watched this company since 1994, TMM's previous problem is internal disbute, and marketing, but the technology is for real. After getting out of the chapter 11 court one and a half years ago, I think the problem of internal disbute is resolved, and this company had an agreement with another company to market its products last December, and I think the problem of marketing is also resolved. Well, from $0.37 to $100 , your return is 30000%, not to mention a cost base of 4c .Anyway, you need to do your own DD before invest. Maybe just call TMMI before you drop any money into this stock !!! The risk is yours, but the return can be huge . Another high flyer in 2000 can be IDC due to its 3G technology in wireless communication. It was $4 last October.
