For the LEAPS experts. I am considering purchasing LEAPS due in 2002.
Hypothetical question. If QCOM gets bought out prior to expiration of LEAPS what happens to your LEAPS?? I would like to know the answer to this before getting into LEAPS too deeply.

To the thread,

Just reading about LEAPS for the first time. Tell me if my instincts are correct...

Thinking that you could make a great use of LEAPS if you felt, during or after a very sharp correction, that a stock would rebound sharply a few months out. Figure at the point of maximum pessimism, LEAPS for certain stocks would be relatively cheap.

Of course, I would probably be buying the stock as well at this point since I am always buying when everyone else is selling.

Just getting my feet wet...looking for reinforcement :)

Thanks.
