Ive been married 28 years and have not yet gotten around to giving my wife a diamond- actually, one of the benefits of being a 60's child. I keep meaning to, though. I think I'll bundle it with my decision to "pull the plug" and retire-- not there yet, though.

Thanks to all for the comments and feedback regarding retirement. They are very helpful

I'd like to use this opportunity to introduce myself and volunteer for the "Hunt". I would have posted on Dec. 20th but has taken SI this long to figure out they took my money and gave me no membership.

<< ...one of the key characteristics of all the wealthy millionaires noted was that their spouse was somewhat frugal. >>

My sweetheart is extremely frugal...She spends no money at all. Like my father says: "My son's sweetheart is a real dog". Actually, she is a bird dog...
I'm retired at 40. Lost my job last summer. Had been studying the markets, and investing for over a year. I also had my 401k which was doing nothing. I figured with the future of high tech (thanks to the internet) that I could probably make it very well. I won't pound my chest and say how well I've done since Oct19th when I got in the market fully. You all know with your own portfolio's. I do have a long way to go till I feel secure financially. I also am much smarter to spend my time studying and watching the market than to go to work now. I can make alot more this way. I've enjoyed the retirement postings. I do focus my investing with Gorilla Thinking. Need to read the new version of Geoff's book.
