GOLDMAN SACHS TO SET UP CREDIT RATING AGENCY IN KOREA SEOUL - Goldman Sachs would become the first foreign company to advance into the credit information and rating industry here, a Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) official said Tuesday. Goldman Sachs applied for a license to set up a credit information company in a joint venture with affiliate Archon Group last week. The U.S. financial company took over Korean non-performing loans worth US$700 million from the Korea Asset Management Corp last year.
