hey jw,

"i can start MSword in 2/3 seconds>>>"

i get your point. now see if you get mine <g3>

after you start word in 2-3 seconds, then keep the clock running and open a word document that begins with, oh say, the letter 's'. time begins to add up, plus the mouse clicks are increasing. i guess that's why they're called shortcuts, huh?

in fairness, i'm not just worried about 10 seconds compared to 30 seconds, jw. what catches my attention is when something begins to behave much differently in my system. it's usually the early warning signs of something else up around the bend that is going to develop into more of a headache.

:)
