San Diego North County Times newspaper Saturday, January 15th.

A new 190,000 square foot facility was dedicated on Friday in Scripps Ranch (SD,CA) for wireless phone maker Nokia,
the world's top seller of wireless phones. The center will employee more than 500 people, mostly engineers developing
products based on CDMA technology pioneered by San Diego based Qualcomm.

This is Nokia's sole CDMA center for the world, said Larry Paulson, vice president of product line management for CDMA.
Nokia has been in San Diego since the early 90's, but have started to take a strong stake in the San Diego community in the
last two years. Nokia's head count has grown from 100 to 300 to now over 500. Plans are to grow to nearly 1000 people
concentrating on CDMA technology.
