Citidude - <Here in Downtown Chicago, Comp USA has an ad in the Sunday Tribune for an HP Pavillion priced at $2929.91. It includes:
Intel 800mhz PIII, 40gb Hard Drive, 128mb RAM, 56K/DSL modem, CD-RW & DVD-ROM, 17" monitor, HP 612C printer ($50.00 rebate on printer)>

Thank you for the report.

That makes PIII 800 systems seen by thread contributors in Portland, Sunnyvale, and now Chicago. Yield problems huh? (not directed at you citidude).

<I didn't even know the Intel PIII 800mhz pentium chip was even out yet and I also look every single week as well to see what the latest and greatest is.>

In my estimation you found it :-).

CompUSA is ALSO selling 800 MHz Coppermine PCs ?

Gee - what a waste - too bad Intel didn't divert those chips to some gray market re-seller - where it seems most of the AMD chips end up.
