HO -- I just bought my second Micron in 4 months and my daughters arrived last week. The DVD will be nice if you use some games or movies. I put both in my machines. The DVD even though I use no games or movies on the machine but expect software in the near future may take advantage of those capabilities. The other is more important. A drive should be Read/Write. A R/W drive allows you to save much more info than on a disk to a cd. You can also make back up copies of your audio CDs and software...
