Charles Re << I may have been the first person to post that day indicating that I have added to my AMD position by putting in an order during the halt. I have bought more stock since then in the 25-27 region and considerably long.>>

I do remember you telling me via PM that you bought AMD that day from the money you got out of COHU. You got out of COHU at a nice profit also, your buy notice can be found on the COHU thread.

Chuckles - Re: "You go around preaching people how bad an investment AMD is"

AMD is a TERRIBLE investment !

Look at AMD's record over the years - it SURGES then collapses !!!!

You call that a GOOD investment ?

AMD is a sucker's stock - great for short term trading.

It goes way UP - it goes WAY down.

Repeat.

Re: "AMD will be a good investment at least until Intel gets a competitive core into production"

Competitive core?

AMD's 800 MHz AthWIpey is NO FASTER than Intel's 800 MHz Spry Coppy - and that makes Intel's Coppermine VERY COMPETITIVE - not bad for an aging, decrepit, 6 year old core !

And AMD had to juice up the voltage on the 800 MHz AthWiper - just to get it near-competitive with Intel !

Better get a grip of current realities, Chuckles !
