You call that a GOOD investment ? AMD is a sucker's stock - great for short term trading. It goes way UP - it goes WAY down. Repeat. Re: "AMD will be a good investment at least until Intel gets a competitive core into production" Competitive core? AMD's 800 MHz AthWIpey is NO FASTER than Intel's 800 MHz Spry Coppy - and that makes Intel's Coppermine VERY COMPETITIVE - not bad for an aging, decrepit, 6 year old core ! And AMD had to juice up the voltage on the 800 MHz AthWiper - just to get it near-competitive with Intel ! Better get a grip of current realities, Chuckles ! Paul
