The AOL /TWX 800-lb gorilla, looks like it will soon be the 1600-lb gorilla. Hope the rain forest is big enough :)
LONDON, Jan 23 (Reuters) - Britain's EMI Group Plc said on Sunday it was in talks to wrap its music operations into a joint venture with those of Time Warner Inc. TWX of the United States to create the world's biggest music group. EMI said the move opened up the possibility of boosting shareholder value for both companies, though full details on the shape of the deal would not be given before the London stock market opened on Monday.

steve, one area not discussed much.........

internet appliances. seems that penetration of pc's in u.s. is around 40+%.....a number of isp's are discussing giving away these appliances to their subscribers.

QBIT is one company that might use linux or beos. what do you think of this type of "info appliance" as way for isp's to increase their eyeball reach? how about BEOS?
