My error ..

As someone pointed out to me in a PM UMG is being bought out by AT&T. Exchange ratio = .95 shares T + ~$30 cash.

Current prices of each make it seem close to a wash.

The government seems to have stepped out of the way for the deal to go through.

Things could get interesting with the T MSFT M&A talks going on ...

...as it may be of interest to others as well - my mail to MG -:
...I dont know about the ownership mix, but if a private citizen like me wants to get a piece of action, the only way to go is to buy their debentures. They promise (and deliver) 15% yearly returns, but (of course) the price is adjusted to prime rate plus max 1.5%...The AOL deal did not move them a single cent either way.
