There is a little thing called collateral. Stealing comments from Claude Cormier are you nickel61? Actually dividing the hedge from the production parts is the next logical step for ABX. To suggest that you can't separate the too only suggest that you can't split Microsoft from: Operating system, Internet, and Applications. Yet anything CAN be filtered out of a company. So even a $4 billions off-balance sheet item can be transferred once crystallized. After all Lucent came from a company that they said couldn't be spun out. Even a hedge can be quantified.
