Jon: Perhaps the LWIN folks just know the FCC is not wearing any clothes! IMO This would be the perfect way to remake the entire organization. They spout off (again) making claims that are far outside their mandate. The mess blows up in their face and Congress finally gets off its rear end and demands a FCC reorganization.

They (LWIN) obviously would like a shot at the bandwidth - so long as it is protected "little guy only" auction.

It's interesting, all right... first off, wasn't it rumored that there was bad blood between White and Salmasi
when they were both at Q?

Also, Nextwave's most recent plan wasn't CDMA mobil was it?
So no benefit there.

They're also saying; "sure, we'll pick up the spectrum, according to your FCC rules (NXTL and the big boys are out)".

Very interesting. (and maybe Q picks up the spectrum FCC owes them for being a pioneer)
